Getting to Menorca
Mahon Airport (MAH)

By Plane: The most straightforward way to get to our wedding is to fly to Menorca. Mahon International Airport (MAH), the only airport on the island, is only a ~25min drive from our wedding venue and the hotels we are suggesting. We recommend booking roundtrip flights to one of the major European cities, i.e. Paris, London, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Madrid, Barcelona, etc., and then there are lots of direct flight options from these cities to Mahon. There are 13+ flights from Barcelona daily – under 1 hour and very reasonable with Vueling or Iberia airlines (they start ~$25/flight).
The other option is to arrive by boat!
Ciutadella Ferry

By Ferry: If you're feeling adventurous, there is a ferry from Alcudia in Mallorca (~2 hrs voyage) as well as an overnight ferry from Barcelona (8 - 9hrs voyage) that will drop you off in Ciutadella, the city on the opposite end of the island as Mahon. From Ciutadella, it’s about a ~45min drive to our wedding venue and suggested hotels. Also, if you’re planning to extend your vacation after our wedding and are thinking about going to Mallorca, taking the ferry is an excellent option for traveling between the two islands!
Getting Around
By Rental Car: We highly recommend renting a car during your stay - it’s both pretty affordable (by US standards) and will be the easiest way to get around the island for your own adventures and all the wedding in-between-stuff! Also, unlike driving in big european cities, driving around this island is a breeze.
Helpful tip: A lot of car rental companies in Europe offer manual transmission cars. If you are comfortable driving a stick shift car, you’ll probably get a better deal on your rental. However, if you have no idea how to drive stick, double-check to make sure you’re renting a car with an automatic transmission :) Thank us later!
By Taxi / Private Car: Alternatively, there are taxis in Menorca (they are very safe and reliable) and most hotels offer airport transfers. You’ll want to schedule your taxis in advance to the extent you can, as the island is small and they will typically need to drive to you to pick you up.
Transportation to Events: For those staying at our “suggested hotels” below, we will be providing transportation to the main wedding events. If you end up booking somewhere else (that’s ok!), we’ll do our best to accommodate or provide you with a convenient pickup/dropoff location.
Lodging Recommendations
Ours is an intimate wedding with a small guest list, and while the island is small too, it’s easy to get spread out! Ideally, we would love for everyone to be near the Alaior/Son Bou area of Menorca so that you’ll be close to us and the venue. We hope you’ll be able to book at one of the “suggested hotels” below as that will keep the party together and simplify transportation to-and-from events. Of course, it’s ok to book elsewhere - it’s a vacation after all! - and we’ll do our best to accommodate you with respect to transportation so you can have fun, relax, and not sweat the details :)
We recommend booking your lodging as soon as you can - Menorca is quickly gaining attention as a vacation destination and May is a perfect time of year to visit.

If you end up choosing a vacation rental outside of town, we recommend looking into private transfers for the wedding events as some airbnbs will be outside the area of the island where our wedding events will be held.
For example, the wedding will be ~30mins drive from Binibeca, ~50mins from Ciutadella and ~25mins from Mahon.
